It's interesting to read about why someone would target a public school for money or information. I'll admit, this one rattled me. It's also interesting to see how their anti-virus software failed and it took hours of manual labor to restore and bring back devices to the network.

 

Teachers did not have computers until November! Can you imagine that? Talk about going back to the old days. Even their financial system was down and payroll had to be calculated manually.

 

If I ever seem a little too controlling/harsh when it comes to our technology, these horror stories are my explanation as to why.
