Jostens yearbook representative and 30 year U.S. Marine, Colonel Jim Dumont, wipes a tear from his eye while reciting a section of the speech, “Six Seconds to Live,” by Marine Lt. Gen. John Kelly. Dumont, who was highly decorated with both the Legion of Merit and the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, reflected not only on the Kelly speech, but also on his own time served in the military.
